I purchased a bridgeport mill that was never under power by the last owner. It came with a phase converter but I don't know how to hook it up. I reached the web for instructions but I couldn't find any. It is a MOTOR-X phase converter. If Someone could tell me how to hook up the mill to it I would be greatly appreciated. Here are some pictures.IMG_2675.jpgIMG_2676.jpgIMG_2680.jpgIMG_2681.jpgIMG_2682.jpg

No result with google search. See if you can find out what is in the box on the right side (3rd pic)

You should clean up the unit and trace the wires and make a diagram.
Then post a picture of the diagram.

You have a static converter.

The "3 phase out" connects to the mill motor.
The "220v 1ph" connects to the utility.

You have a better option, get a three phase motor that is at least 1.5 or greater in HP than the mill motor
and wire it to your converter for a rotary. Read about the disadvantages using a static converter.

It is static from the best I see too. If you are just hooking it up or hope to,
a good rest is needed to go FW. to rev. .
Static only run at 50-66% hp.
Making a RPC out of it is not a bad idea.
