My latest control panel wiring job was also the last straw with my current, so called, top of the line #23010, T&B wire strippers. These things have never done a good job from day one. Either they won't completely cut the insulation or they remove a quarter of the strands when they do.

So, what's the general opinion out there as to who makes the best wire strippers in the same catagory as the 23010 T&B? Only better.

Ideal is pretty good.

Available in several sizes down to 30 AWG.

Works on all insulation types.

Inexpensive.

Good for repairs.

The very best is the Teledyne hot wire type.

Fully adjustable as to dia. and length.

Works on PVC and Teflon insulation.

Expensive as hell.

Good for production.

I've used the T&B 23010 since Jimmy Carter occupied the White House. Pricey at $60, but the best stripper/crimper I've ever used.

If you have a pair that doesn't work, contact T&B at 800-816-7809 or email [email protected] - it would surprise me if they didn't do something to satisfy you.
