Hi YA'll,
Hey I have alot of used tooling for my no#'s 3 and 4 and as with most things used there are minor things missing. Like set screws and such.. As I've been going through the tooling I find the thread patterns are some what 'non-standard'. Some things are standard but somethings aren't.. almost like W&S had proprietary threads ( like they made all their tooling in house perhaps ? ). Either that or the stuff is whitworth ( 55° thread) or some variation of metric. I have some what appears to be 3/8-20 and some 1/2-20 that when I run a tap through I get just a hint of metal..
I'm making things 'work' but was just wondering if W&S did/used something odd with their tooling threads.
Thanks in advance
Stay safe
