Thread: Bob Hawkins

Bob Hawkins passed to the big shop in the sky on Wednesday July 18 2012. Robert was 78 and just had his birthday on July 11 He was in good health and passed due to natural causes.
Warner Swasey was a big part of his life and I have have been told many tales about the company and the people that he worked with for those many years he worked at Warner Swasey.
I believe that he worked for WS from about 1960 to 1980.
After 1980 Bob worked for Corrugated Gear & sprocket in Atlanta as the Head purchasing agent. Where I met Robert in 1990 when I began doing for for him. Robert moved a OAC & OAB into my shop in 1991 and started Hawk Machine running parts after work hours at corrugated gear. In 1995 Robert left Corrugated Gear and went full time into business still running his opperation in my shop till he retired in 2010. Robert was a dear friend and mentor and adopted dad to me for the last 22 years. I will miss him greatly.
