The table on my nearly 30-year old drill press is not level front to back - the front is lower than the back. Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

Anything that works is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Bob

Bob,

If that model attaches to the column with a adapter and bolts, you can loosen the bottom bolts and using thin brass shim stock, shim the table into tram with the spindle.

Level does not really matter unless it is a metal working drillpress and you are using coolant. If you care that much just put some shims under the front feet of the base.

Check the table to column for square. If it is square then either shim the front of the base or don't worry about it. The DP is just out of plumb which makes no difference in operation. I have the same DP ,mine is about 12 years old. Decent DP for woodworking but not much for metal work. I added a digital display for Z axis and a threaded rod and nuts instead of the crappy dial fine feed adjustments. I also installed an X Y table and a shop made milling vice.
