I am a new member to this forum (just retired) and am trying to identify this indexing head that I inherited with my Dad's tools. As you can see, the indexing is done by rotating the chuck and using the spring loaded pin behind the chuck to create the proper spacing. It also rotates 90 degrees on the large trunnion. The chuck is a 4 1/2" Union Mfg. Co model but that is the only marks on the tool except for some numbers stamped on the trunnion that read:
295
6
3113
The unit is very tight and works smoothly but I want to disassemble to remove the old grease/oil, etc. Any information on this tool would be much appreciated. Thanks!
P.S. Don't know where the indexing head is on this site to rotate the photos correctly. Ha!
