OK - I sharpen my own metalworking drills - no problem. Normally I do a 135 degree split point. So what is the best way (point geometry) to sharpen said drills for use in plywood? This will be used in a CNC router.

Brad point for a clean hole on the top. Good on the bottom if the sheet is sucked down to a spoilboard. And you can program a slower break through. Glue in the plywood will have its way with steel bits though. Carbide brad point bits are really not that expensive. And guessing under .5" holes?
Years ago I did a job that needed 20,000 holes in 3/4 mdf. Single bit did the job.
