Got a screaming deal on a CNC router today - does anyone recognize this model?

I got a screaming deal on this router today purely by chance. I have been studying routers on and off for a while for gunstock making, and while a five axis machine would obviously be ideal, I couldn't turn this one down, if only as a learning tool.

Does anyone recognize this as a commercial model? There is no name anywhere.

It looks like I'm going to need a controller and some software, so any guidance would be appreciated as I'm a complete newby at this!

I should add that the previous owner says it is fully functional, but he cannot provide a controller.
