Kennametal introduces the KenTIP FS carbide inserts at IMTS 2018

Kennametal recently introduced its latest innovation in modular drilling technology, the KenTIP FS. The modular drill combines the best characteristics of solid carbide drills with the cost-effectiveness of indexable drilling tools. The new design, the innovative coolant delivery system, and the advanced insert mounting are what differentiates the KenTIP FS from the competition in the modular drilling arena.

The product was one of the main features at their massive booth at IMTS 2108. We decided to go visit Kennametal’s booth in the tooling hall to take a closer look at the KenTIP FS and have a chat with some of the people that contributed to the development of the modular drill.
