Back a number of years ago my wife Janie was caring for two kids that belonged to a Cuban couple.
They told us that they would take extra clothing when visiting family because their family did not have the income and often could not find some things.

They also said that you never talk about the government in a restaurant because if someone reported what you said you might just disappear.

It seems that a China entertainer lady disappeared in china recently for having anti-government views..now I think she is back?

But I agree the USA is not a rose garden with people protesting to the extent of robbing stores and the like. freedom should never support that much freedom.

I just got over a mild case of covid...just treated at home so not on the chart numbers..proved positive by a home test kit.

I did use Amoxicillin that was doctor prescribed for a cold...and I did have the J&J vaccine a time ago

And all the while life for ordinary Germans was mostly impoverished misery.

My grandfather left Germany as the government was getting stupid..but he thought letting defective people reproduce was an error. He became a lathe operator at the Brooklyn Nave Yard.

I have my own thoughts about what led Germany into both wars..but that would just cause arguments so enough said.
