Hi all, I've got a c.1948 Dual Drive Mk1 Leblond lathe and am in need of some help.
The main brass plate on the gearbox which has a table that details the threading and feed speeds is extraordinarily worn out and illegible. Looks like the previous owner(s) left tools/wrenches, etc. on that area and wore out the plate, so the raise lettering is gone on about 30% of the plate. Plate is located in the red circle in the photo below:
So, can anyone get me a picture of their plate showing enough detail that I can make up a mask and (hopefully) etch a new replacement...?
Yes, I DID contact Leblond, but a replacement would be $450... Even if they'd said $100, I'd have taken a pass.
So, can anyone help a fella out? Thanks!
Mike
