Hi Guys,
I have a problem on a Doosan Lynx and am after some help as there are no alarms on the control or the spindle amplifier.
The controller is Fanuc Oi-TC and the machine has a bar feeder attached.
The machine is all referenced up, axes and turret move without any issues.
When I try and run the spindle (S1, not duel spindle) in MDI, at say 1000RPM, the spindle accelerates quickly to around 100 RPM and then decelerates quickly to 3 RPM and continues.
The same happens when I try and turn the spindle in manual mode.
When rotating the spindle by hand I can see the RPM change on the screen.
Checked the BZi speed sensor for runout and gap setting. All looks OK. If I disconnect this from the spindle Amp I do get an alarm.
I am at a loss where to look next as there are no alarms.
Hope somebody can help or has has similar experience before.

Make sure the machine is in G97 (RPM) mode and not G96 (SFM) mode.
With the X axis all the way home, in SFM mode (G96) the spindle will turn at its slowest available speed given the SFM requested.

Go to MDI and try "G97 S1000 M3;" then cycle start.
MAKE SURE all spindle top tooling is securely fastened BEFORE spooling up.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I have tried this and G97 is set globally. Any other ideas would be appreciated.
