Does this happen during a tool change or during normal machining? There is a function on the 2nd page of the operator panel where you can set the tool change motor torque. Z Axis Excessive Servo Lag at anything >60% Rapid
Hi Does this machine have linear rails, solid slides or V-bed. Please load a picture of the Z_Axis machine bed, some of these machines have a bed similar to a manual machine and when the V-bed gets worn then this error is common.- Bad.Cyborgh

DMG Mori Milltap 700 Siemens 840D Control, please help!

While the axis is moving at speed >=30% find a safe spot to stand and push against the column in the direction of movement and if the shuddering stops then the complete ball screw + angular bearing with adjusting nut needs to be replaced because the preload on the ball screw no longer exists.
