Centerless Grinding Adjusting Tips, General and Correcting Hourglass

Hourglass What type of grinder do you have? I would definitely try the rotating/swivel adjustment a little at a time and try to reference your starting point so you can get back there if needed

    Centerless wheels

Just a question. Does the size of the regulating wheel matter in comparison to the grinding wheel. Seems like both times I’ve changed grinding wheels at work. New wheels 20” worn wheel maybe 16”. Bar grinding

Trying to figure out how to add a picture but it seems no matter what I’m doing I have to be slanted down hill entering the grinder in order to be even against the work blade. Blade not sitting on any thing. Cleaned pocket out real good.

    Bar grinding

Seems like the blade may be going downhill but not 100% sure. Really helped grabbing end of bar and pulling slightly away from grinding wheel. Not the best or safest solution but seems to work.

    Centerless balancing

Put old wheel back on today. (Despite its small size)Actually got a job finished. Anyone have info on how small a wheel can get and be safe. The part that hangs over the recess for the flange is maybe 3/4 inch
