Removing Chip Conveyor from Okuma lathe with OSP U10L

Booze you were spot on. I was able to get the machine up and running today. The lathe did have a bar feeder but I am not using it. Once I had the correct wiring diagram I was able to find the two sets of terminals that needed to be jumpered and everything is now working. Thanks to all for...

Removing Chip Conveyor from Okuma lathe with OSP U10L

Removing Chip Conveyor from Okuma lathe with OSP U10L

Totally agree but I would need to cut a hole in my garage door for that to work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Removing Chip Conveyor from Okuma lathe with OSP U10L

I just picked up an Okuma ES-L6ii lathe with a chip conveyor but I don't currently have the room in my shop to use the conveyor. So I intend on removing the conveyor but how do I let the controlled know that it has been removed? I am assuming it will give some alarm if it's not plugged in...

    Hardinge Conquest GT27 SP

    Looking at a Hardinge TFB-H

I have found that some people only answer one question at a time even when you ask several.

    Looking at a Hardinge TFB-H

For cutting threads for studs and such would be easily done with a geometric die head which you could use on the TFB but you will have to have individual chasers for each size you want to thread - but no big deal. Since you are local if you went there in person you could make a cash offer not...

    Looking at a Hardinge TFB-H

It would probably be worth the asking price but I would question why you can't inspect it prior to purchase. Not sure what your application will be in using the lathe or if it matters to you or not but the TFB-H does not built in threading capabilities. This the name TFB (turn/face/bore)

Metric Thread Cutting on Graziano SAG12

Thanks guys for your response. I tell you. Threading up to the shoulder like this you have to really be quick with the stop and carriage. But it works

Metric Thread Cutting on Graziano SAG12

I do a good bit of even number TPI standard thread cutting on my SAG12 but now I have some metric threads that I need to cut up to a shoulder Can I proceed in the same manner as I do while cutting standard threads or do I need to keep the same number on the thread counter or do I need to keep...
