    who makes quality forstner bits

I do like what I've seen and read on the Fisch thus far. I did forget to mention one thing I'd like to have in the bit and that's the ability to sharpen it. The Fisch wave does not appear it can be easily accomplished. I sharpen plane irons and even scrub plane irons with great success by...

    who makes quality forstner bits

I'll be drilling 12 2" diameter holes about 1.75" deep in baltic birch 11 ply, plywood and I'd like a good quality forstner bit for this task. I've heard there are some nice ones out of Sweden as well as Germany, but don't know the brands of them or any that are quality.

WTB thru bolts for electric motor

I'm in need of 3 thru bolts for my repulsion induction electric motor. The size of the thru bolt is 5/16 - 18 and 11 3/4 inches in length. Anyone have any good resources on who has/manufactures these without a minimum order? Thank you

    shaft movement on Induction motor

Is the slight forward and aft movement of the shaft a normal movement of this Delco, single phase, 1.5 HP repulsion induction motor? I just picked it up locally that was on a working air compressor, according to the seller. I'm going to tear it down for a general cleanup and possible bearing...

    RPM pulley size question

My Delta table saw has a 5" pulley on a 1725 RPM motor and a 2.5" pulley on the table saw shaft, this will yield the desired 3100 RPM for optimal performance. My 1725 motor is no good anymore and I have a 3450 RPM motor that would make a great replacement. How do I achieve the desired 3100...

    bearing removal suggestions

The heating method worked. Also, thanks for the other suggestions, the tool that was suggested will work next time when I remove my new ones, these can and were damaged by the heat (which was OK).

    bearing removal suggestions

Looking for suggestions on prying or pulling the bearings from a Harrington chain fall. I have no access to the other side of the bearing and was curious the best method on removal. Thank you,

    reversing direction on Wagner 220V 1 Ø

Unfortunately, the brushes can't be rotated. The groove at the bottom, where the arrow is pointing has to stay in this position for the fixed piece in the bell to fit thru.

    reversing direction on Wagner 220V 1 Ø

Hello, any thoughts on how to change shaft direction on my Wagner repulsion induction 2HP motor? Reversing polarity on the legs have no effect.

    Torsion springs for brushes

I have, but I'm rolling the dice with a google search. I'd much prefer to post something here in hopes of going down a path that someone else had luck on. Thank you

    Torsion springs for brushes

Anyone have any good resources on torsion springs? I had one snap on me and will likely replace the 4 of them due to the state my brush assembly is currently in. Thank you

    acquired a muffle furnace

Sounds good, I'll refrain from racking my brain on how to incorporate it with my existing projects. I do indeed intend to use it, for what, I'm not sure yet.

    acquired a muffle furnace

What would a hobbyist or a beginner do with this particular furnace (based on its specs and size)? The reason I even got the thing is because it was going to the dump and even though I don't know much about them, I knew it was in pretty decent shape and it was a working furnace. I just...

    acquired a muffle furnace

I'm posting some images of a recently acquired muffle furnace and was curious if there are any consumable parts/pieces that should be replaced prior to putting into use. Based on the age of the furnace, I'd feel more comfortable refurbing or replacing components while I learn more about them...
