Thank you yea mine is a Sl2-H with a twelve station and a 10 inch chuck and could not figure out what was missing on the casting to add a tailstock,so I guess you answered it there is none. Thank you that's why there are no used Sl2 tailstock out there

Can anyone tell me if they made a tailstock for a mori seike sl2-h

Thanks for all the help, It turns out that there was one switch on the back of the turret that was bad. I finally figured out the diagnostics and found the correct bit, its was just a switch that was bad

I don't know if it has a encoder or not I would not know if I was looking at one. But mine does have Seven switches on the back of the turret. Plus 3 on the X axis's

Yea mine also the op manual from Mori is for a 6T controller.

Ok Thank you, I will try to see if I can figure out which one is which The Mori instruction manual I have is the one that came with the lathe new, but someone down the road changed the controller from a 6T to a 3T Fanuc I do have the 3T connecting maintenance manual and the maintenance manual...

I took the turret rear cover off and looked, all the wiring looks to be in good shape, its surprisingly clean, what do i need to check the switches with a volt meter, to see if they are sensing when the blocks come under them, they all seem to be spaced out about the same clearance.

That over my head I don't know how to figure out the diagnostic bits are you saying to check to see if the sensors are reacting to open-close sending voltage. I don't know where the sensors are I presume on the turret,

Could it have messed up one of the sensors because I rotated the turret in reverse, I have not messed with the Parameters

It just stops all operations no crashes or nothing, when it goes to home to index, Turret just rotates then stops not locked, and on random tools

If i need a .250 and .500 hole within .0005 what size do i drill before ream, how much will a reamer take off and stay accurate. Thanks for your help

Yea I need the holes to less than .0005 Drilling them lucky if the hole is within .003 allways cone shape larger toward the turret. Yes i face the rod then center drill or spot drill makes no differance. I press them to a shaft force fit,
