Wanted: Large heatsink extrusion 8-10" wide

I've seen the ebay stuff; I'd rather deal with sane shipping options and good folks.. I'm going to be cooling about 30-45 watts of well distributed heat, and I will be using a fan on it so it shouldn't be a big deal as far as the fin arrangement and spacing. I'd prefer something like .5" spacing...

Wanted: Large heatsink extrusion 8-10" wide

It's a bit of a WAG but I'll give it a shout: Looking for between 8" and 10" wide heatsink, minimum 8" long preferably like 16 or 24" of the stuff.

Southbend 4' bed, very nice, what's it worth?

+1 for planing beds. I just wish I'd bought a 4 or 4.5 bed and had it planed but I'll be living with my 3.5 instead. I sent mine out, cost about $500 shipping in.

    Removing Layout Dye

Brake & parts cleaner? I'd try the permatex brand to start, it has a lot of acetone in it. Brakleen in the black can also ought to work. Acetone if your brake cleaner doesn't do the job?

Unorthodox drilling with the Lathe ?

+1 on bushing in your boring bar holder. It's a PITA to get on center and straight but it's worth it. I've drilled a bunch of 1" dia 7 3/4" long holes in 6061, I think your 1h time for that hole in 4140 is not bad at all! 300-400 rpm on a hole like that, hope you've got enough motor on your...

    Sand Blasting

What I suggest for primer is a product called ZRC - it's a primer with atomized zinc in it, it's very nearly as good as a hot dip galvanizing. Only drawback in our scenario is that it does smear a bit when you brush paint over it, but with some care and a thin sealing coat over it to start with...

    Machining a pen

You might check out penturners.org, there are a number of fellows on there that make pens w/o using kits. I think one of the first guys to do it was Boone Titanium Rings Pens

    New 10l spindle oil tubes

If it's thin brass tubing we're talking about try your local model shop, they should stock such material in the right size.
