Hi Mike, I am looking for some advice on running a cincy 0-8 Vert mill that I have. It has just had some down time for a rewind and I was checking the machine over and noticed the machine head top was quite void of lubricant. I can see inside via a gasketed acces panel on the right and view the spindle head gearing with a copper tube pointed closley at it. Would I be correct in assuming the majority of the compartment is to be oil filled? is this why no oil is spouting out at the running gear in the head when I run it? If I fill the oil container am I to expect some seaping lube to exit around the quil? and what lube should I look to get?
I hope you can advise me as I have jobs lining up for the old girl.
