Well to keep it as short as possible, I majored in biology for under grad then neuropharmacology in grad school. All the while working as a veterinary critical care nurse in a specialty pactice. We used used hospital equipment for monitoring our animals during surgery, most of it would break down, sometimes quite frequently so I set about fixing whatever needed it at the time. Some of the stuff was no longer supported by the manufacturer or the parts needed for the repair were too expensive to justify the repair.
