I keep hearing that this winter will be bad for manufacturing in Europe.

Sure thing. Gasoline and diesel, was in a previous post in this thread. :) https://www.statista.com/statistics/1271525/denmark-monthly-wholesale-electricity-price/ Natural gas, which much electricity is produced via, and the heating surplus, then sold in the district heating network, has gone...

I keep hearing that this winter will be bad for manufacturing in Europe.

Denmark is also doing ok, energy wise. We actually saved close to 30% last year, compared to previous years. We have had a mild winter here, that was a big help on top. The current price of electricity is between 2 to 4 DKK / kWh. Gasoline (95) is around 14 DKK, Diesel 13 DKK / liter. There are...

Tsubaki Machinery Skates; anyone read Japanese?

I don't think it looks like something made in 1958. In this thread the OP tells about Japanese years, Showa 58 would make it 1983. The labels looks newer than 1958 to me? https://www.practicalmachinist.com/forum/threads/japanese-finds.405860/ http://www.meijigakuin.ac.jp/~watson/ref/mtsh.html

I keep hearing that this winter will be bad for manufacturing in Europe.

Exactly. All our free services here, are not free. We just fund them by our taxes. And that is perfectly fine by me. Then everybody have the same rights.

50% is the price of electricity. Rest is tax and distribution cost.

I keep hearing that this winter will be bad for manufacturing in Europe.

Here is a huge chart over the prices through out 2022. Yellow columns being gas station prices, green being bulk prices. When the highest I remember it being close to 18 DKK for both diesel and Octane 95. We pay 25% VAT (MOMS) here on all goods, from food to fuel...

I keep hearing that this winter will be bad for manufacturing in Europe.

In November 2021 it was 3300 DKK February 2022 it had risen to 5700 DKK Now, this November it is 7500 DKK Even though I am able to pay for it, we have other people here in Denmark, having to choose between food or heating. Totally...

I keep hearing that this winter will be bad for manufacturing in Europe.

I actually think it makes perfect sense. A statement saying that all our underwater gas lines are at risk here. And so are the huge power cables on the sea bottom..

I keep hearing that this winter will be bad for manufacturing in Europe.

In my biased mind there is no doubt that it was a Russian act. Just to prove that they have the guts to do it, 20 km off the Danish coast. If they weren't selling gas through them, and gas is being phased out in record speed, they would be surplus. Putin will rather destroy all of Russia than...

I keep hearing that this winter will be bad for manufacturing in Europe.

The holes are real, and were made deliberate.. Seismic measurement has detected 2.1 and 2.3 on the Richter scale. According to a Swedish scientist, about 100 kg of dynamite would cause that. Still leaking gas, apparently both lines were filled, even though no gas was delivered through them...
