DMG Mori heavily advertising the new FP4M
Here in Denmark the "good old Vilhelm Pedersen" milling machines are long gone. But the name lives on. And now they 'make' thise. And some are sold to trade schools here. Drive lugs on an FP2NC 40-taper spindle
May I ask why you are so 'afraid' of having the lugs/keys on the spindle? In my world, it doesn't matter. As long as there are two. And also beacuse the spindle speeds are relatively low, and the keys/mass are close to the center? Close to all mills have thise from the factory, and it's not a...- ome.machining

Drive lugs on an FP2NC 40-taper spindle
They should be very easy to fabricate your own [emoji3526] I've made several. Material shouldn't be super critical as the taper should take the most of the force [emoji3526] Also any of thise mill will hardly be used for heavy milling or anything that should make the keys under pressure...- ome.machining

When feed is running in any axis, and I push the rapid button, the motor just stalls. It's like both feed and rapid feed runs...- ome.machining

Colchester triumph 2000
I have spent MANY hours on different sizes of Colchesters. All were very accurate and good running machines. All were true UK made models, with some years on them. We also have a M400 Harrison on my job. It's also a nice lathe, very similar to the Colchester, but in my book not any nicer to...- ome.machining
