Matrix Nexus - Reverse Shape Contour?

Yes it does the trick for for this shape, but does not work for non-monotonous profile (pocket/undercut) - I am getting "REVERSE SHAPE PROFILE" alarm. Any way to overcome this in Mazatrol?

2 axis lathe - Y axis off centre on ID holders only

Machine was realigned properly. It turned out that all 4 ID holders we have were not manufactured properly - ID bore is not in the middle of the holder (out by ~ .018).What is worse - it is not concentric to Z axis of machine. Previous machine owner enlarged bore of 3 out of 4 holders from 2.0...

2 axis lathe - Y axis off centre on ID holders only

External tools (tool stations 1-4) cut on centre, whereas ID holders (mounted in stations 6-11) are off centre on Y axis by about .018 (.036 TIR). How is it possible? Some background: Hyundai WIA L400C, 12 station turret. Machine had major crash about 2 years ago (ID tool rapid radially into...

    G92 crossthreaded after G76

I have just changed program as per your suggestions. Weird thing: Graphics shows 2 last passes of first G76 cycle as this: X3.5252 Z-.5279 X3.5292 Z-.5279 Second G76 cycle: X3.5292 Z-.5289 X3.5292 Z-.5289 .001 difference in Z position. Why? Cheers

    G92 crossthreaded after G76

    Hello folks, FANUC 32i control. I used to spring-pass threading as below many times on this machine, but yesterday with new program G92 single pass crossthreaded whatever was done with G76 . Code: (10TPI 10RD THREAD) G28 U0. G54 G40 T0505 G50 S1200 G97 S600 M03 G0 Z1.0 X3.2 Z-.5 M8 G76...

    Fanuc G-code vs Mazak EIA/ISO

OK, maximum available length of alarm message is 31 characters. And #3000=1 will not display custom message. It must be 3000=(21 to 6999). I truly hate Mazaks.

    Fanuc G-code vs Mazak EIA/ISO

So I checked modified program ( 600---> 500 variables, IF...THEN --> IF... GOTO) on Matrix Nexus and it still does not work as desired. Modified code: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- O6523 (**********) (NOT PROVEN)...

    Fanuc G-code vs Mazak EIA/ISO

Bingo. 2 days ago I worked on another Mazak (Cybertech) and indeed - 600 macro variables were listed as an option. Bingo. I changed 600 macro variables to 500 series, and IF ... THEN into IF....GOTO statements. Now I need some time on my hands to check it on the controller. I will let know...

    Fanuc G-code vs Mazak EIA/ISO

Nobody "covered" such "fact". It was only you who claimed that Mazatrol does the job. Looks like you are unable to read the program I posted and visualize the problem. So again: - triple-start thread, ca. .210 deep - insert width is .180 whereas thread root width is .366, so it has to be...

    Fanuc G-code vs Mazak EIA/ISO

Each subsequent pass will be progressively SMALLER, of course. My mistake. Here`s the code: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- O6522 (*********) (NOT PROVEN) (****************************) (INSERT - ********************...

    Fanuc G-code vs Mazak EIA/ISO

Hello Everyone, My current project is to reprogram threading on certain part from Mazatrol to EIA macro in order to improve reliability of the process. I want to cut heavy multistart widened ACME thread the way that one pass is taken progressively deeper on each thread lead until all is...

Semifinish with G71 on Fanuc O-TC controllers?

    In an attempt to get semi-finish pass, with easy-to-adjust amount left for semi- and last finish pass, I tried to program something like this: (ROUGHING) [...] G0 T0909 G50 S900 G96 S500 M03 G0 Z1. X3. Z0.1 M08 G71 U.107 R.02 G71 P60 Q80 U-.06 W.005 F.014 N60 G00 X3.91 G1 Z0. F0.01 G01...

G92 does spring-pass at every pass, Fanuc Oi-TC

So, tonight I had some time to experiment with with G76 behaviour. No matter if I put P00..... or P01...., and no matter what value R has (or whether it is present or not) in first G76 line - I always get one spring pass. Anybody knows which parameter is responsible for that?

G92 does spring-pass at every pass, Fanuc Oi-TC

    G92 is used for threading with start point shifted before every pass (because of thread shape), something like: (.......) G0 X4.7 Z0.5014 M8; G92 X4.938 Z-1.3 F0.1; ; G0 X4.7 Z0.5028 M8; G92 X4.948 Z-1.3 F0.1; ; G0 X4.7 Z0.5041 M8; G92 X4.954 Z-1.3 F0.1; ; (and so on) The thing is that every...

FANUC Oi-TC, TNR compensation problem with G72

Hi everyone, I have a problem with TNR compensation in face grooving on lathe Fanuc controller Oi-TC (program has to be compatibile with Oi-T as well though). Groove drawing attached. I used Kennametal NR3062LK, in geometry offsets I keyed in tool tip vector 7, R .0625, and I offset X wear...
