    Need 10ee forward/reverse switch

The lathe had the drive gutted and repowered before I got it unfortunately.. it’s a dc motor with no backgear. Motor is powered by a baldor dc inverter with single phase input. Top speed is about 1500 rpm but should be 4000. I might repower someday but it works for now. Spindle start and stop...

10ee round dial to square dial bed swap?

I have a 1943 round dial with a badly worn bed and saddle. I’ve found a donor parts lathe- a 1957 square dial, and am wondering if it’s possible to take the bed and saddle from this lathe and fit it to my round dial? Both are 12.5” swing machines.

I guess I’ll try to fix what I have just thought I bet there’s a saddle laying around somewhere in better shape than this one- the oil grooves are worn right off in places.

Wanted: 1943 10ee round dial saddle

Working a 1943 round dial and my saddle is very worn- wondering if anyone has one for sale before I start working on repairing this one? The oil line feeding the saddle was broken off and it clearly was run dry for a long time before I ended up with it.

Recommend a lathe with 3” spindle hole?

I’m not planning on it- seems to me I just need a bigger lathe for those jobs but I don’t have the room right now. If I did, that Broadbent lathe looks like it might do the trick.

Recommend a lathe with 3” spindle hole?

Thanks yes the Leblond is actually the lathe that got me started thinking about this as it fits my space and has a large spindle hole. There is a regal 19x54 servo shift near me that looks decent
