Haas G54 added to tool length offset

take the numbers out of the G54 "Z" and take your offset again I use that when I use multiple G54-G129's and some need individual adjustment for "Z"

Haas VF2 will not boot up

We have had the switch behind the green button go bad, sometimes pressing it harder around the edges will get it to work a few more times while you wait for a new one.

    Small shop material storage?

I have to drive 60 miles to get "delivered" material that is beat to hell from being dragged on and off trucks. It is 12 hours round trip to "will call" material at our better supplier and get material in nice shape. We are a small shop with repeat parts we typically have a years worth of...

    Question On Tapping 1/8" Aluminum

Do the first, with a washer between the nut and rivnut with a bit of lube like the instruction sheet I posted earlier (post #20). Our products are installed all over the world every day with that method as many folks don't want to buy a special tool for one product, we provide the large flange...

    Question On Tapping 1/8" Aluminum

The sheet metal screws that look like a wood screw should be fine though drilling a hole will make the job easier, the self drilling type with a drill looking tip will remove the threads when they are removed

How to deburr "steep" 3D contour, 3-axis mill, MasterCAM 2022?

I have an older version but for these type projects I simply draw my holes on a flat plane above the part then "project" the toolpath onto the surface of the actual part, quick, easy.

Shop insulation best practice for the 637th time...

I didn't seal the sheet edges to each other, I just shoved them tight. On the first layer, I shoved the sheets tight to one side and one end of the building then screwed them in place with a few deck screws, I used cans of spray foam for the last gaps at the edges by the walls. I put up the...

Shop insulation best practice for the 637th time...

We rent with the 1x4's on the bottom of the rafters then 2 layers of polyiso foam, factory 2nds are quite economical by the truckload. We sorted them by thickness and taper then put then up so we had a uniform stacked thickness, half the sheets I bought were with OSB bonded, our heating costs...

    OT - Shop insulation

I looked at several types and decided the poly iso was the least flammable, less than OSB and there are always piles of seconds at good prices. We heat the air not the floor, my research led me to believe it would be more economical though likely not quite as comfortable, we maintain 68 degrees

    OT - Shop insulation

    OT - Shop insulation

Our building is 1/3 the size of yours, when all was said and done we had 35k in insulation. The first 3k was a 40 foot trailer load of poly iso, 3-5 inches thick, they were factory seconds with odd thicknesses. !/2 of them had mismarked OSB on one side, we matched them up so when 2 layers went...
