If the build plate is crooked it will do this as it scans to check you have the correct plate in ie cool plate not engineered plate for PLA . The starting off the plate thing seems to be related to nozzle flow and I got around it by just having it zero before each plate . Add's a minute but...- BarnFab

That is 100% what is does and what I also wanted. Its sounds weird but I love walking up to the rack and seeing empty spools and the printer still going after auto changing to next spool.- BarnFab

Nope I have seen nothing, as at today I have run 597 ( 1 KG ) roles of PLA through them with zero issues or down time. I schedule plates and just keep feeding them in. I have done minimal color changes and most of the AMS units have 4 rolls of the same color which lets me run the roles empty and...- BarnFab

Why do you say that they released their code yeah ? As far as their business practice .. open source code and GitHub etc is an entirely different discussion and one 99% of people don't actually understand or use. It gets talked up a d lot, usually by people looking to make a point not by people...- BarnFab

I went from Prusa to Bambu and the Bambu's have been awesome. Have a bank of 5 running straight out of the box for several months with zero issues . The detection features and software is nice and the AMS allows 4 rolls to be fitted and kept dry. Multiplate is awesome so you can schedule days in...- BarnFab

We use drop box and have no issues with compliance - https://www.dropbox.com/business/trust/compliance/certifications-compliance I would not use google drive if you are worried about security- BarnFab

Yeah I have been told that the HAAS is a rebadge of a Zoller but it may have been a Koma either way it is a rebadge not made by HAAS although it does integrate with HAAS Control easily and out of the box- BarnFab

Has anyone used or own the HAAS Tool PreSetter (HTS 400 ) ? Looking for any feedback as it seems like an easy way to set and load tools between multiple machines and get more table space without the setter.- BarnFab

Any opinions on Esprit for turning and 5 axis milling these days. How pricey is it?
If you want to see what they can offer don't give them anything till they are on site and then give them the file and watch how long it takes them to setup and what they have to do to get a program out. They all use a lot of smoke and mirrors on pre defined environments that have years of tweaks... -

If it was a solid business requiring little effort the owner wouldn't be selling it ... His offer at $50k buy in is just to make you think its a good idea. $50k buy in on a business turning over not much more than over head under the idea he wants to keep profit low to mimise tax is complete BS...- BarnFab

The other question to ask is what are they doing ..... are they making parts with designs supplied or are they designing and making ? If we are doing Design to Make ie prototype stuff Fusion 360 is all over Esprit for speed due to full integration between CAD and CAM. Esprit does not do well...
