2004 TL-15 (ST-20) Subspindle Air Leak?
All, I've got a new-to-me '04 TL-15 (think ST-20) with a sub. I'm getting, what I believe to be, a lot of air blowing out the sub. The main spindle is on the same 10-12 psi lube line system but it is fine and not blowing air like this. The sub spindle sounds and feels like all 10-12 psi is just... -

New guy entering the CNC world!
Update & looking for advice again. The house is serviced w/ 150a breaker. Most large components are gas powered in the house except the dryer. I plan to add a 100a 220v breaker/line run to a 30hp RPC that will only service the lathe. The 2004 Haas TL-15 is labeled at 20hp but only 35a largest...- Mike7557

Looking at putting in an ST10 order before they go up 8% on May 1. What can I push a distributor for to sweeten a deal? I guess the equivilant of asking the dealer to throw in tinted windows and the first few oil changes kind of thing- Mike7557

Sorry, typo. It's an SL-10T and 2002. I called the local HFO and asked the service guys about it and he made it seem doom & gloom that if the board went out you have to upgrade to the new version and it would be $15k plus. Im not sure how accurate that cost is, but makes the total machine...- Mike7557

With my 1phase power supply and 150a service I believe I can comfortably run one of these machines. Looking for some feedback if you'd please. Thanks for all the comments. To clarify power, there is already 50a 110v service in the garage, I would add 50a 220v and a phase converter. Sounds like the 50 may need to be 60+ to accommodate the converter as well. I would agree to start on a mill, but my partner has a mill and we lack the...- Mike7557

I really appreciate everyone's input and background. From the stories, the space, and the power it does sound like I'm going to scale back the initial machine to purchase. We will still need lathe work to compliment his mill, but a 2008 Mazak 200-MSY may still be both too much, too big (amps)...- Mike7557
