Hi
The entire rebuild is done as video guides on my YouTube channel as linked in my initial post, or search Kinzy Fabrications on YouTube
I also have a full video on drilling the max valve bushings but in the end I completely removed them anyway
Thanks
Marc
No worries
If it’s the same type gearbox it’s a step by step guide
I’m also selling full bearing and seal kits or just seal kits for this rebuild if you need one
Thanks
Marc
I done a lot of searching on this and other internet sources trying to find videos or a full step by step guide of removing and pulling apart a Haas gearbox assembly mainly for the reason of hi & low gear selection issues that are so common amongst older machines
I found small snippets of...
Thanks for the reply’s
It is not ticked on the rear door spec sheet but what is strange is it is not even in the parameters list as an option at all so even if I wanted to purchase it there is t actually any high speed parameter to unlock?
I have just got a 1997 Haas VF3
On the parameter list there is no option for high speed machining but I know it was available on these earlier machines so what was the deal ?
This machine had a board upgrade in 2012 and it has the Coprocessor and it also has the software version F which I...
As mentioned if it was left then it was probably left for a reason, BUT that doesn’t mean it can’t be saved and even if you did spend £5k on it to get a good working machine that would still be a bargain, depends if you are able to do all the fault finding yourself without having to pay a third...
You will need 40ltrs as I replaced my oil and bought 2 of the 20 litre drums and only had a bit left so around 35 litres is a good guess
I couldn’t see any obvious filter so I just changed the oil
Hi
I am in an identical situation to you,
I am a 1 man workshop in the UK and I also have a VF0E year 2000, with brushless servos and direct drive 7500rpm spindle
It’s a great machine but certainly no VF2SS lol
I also want a second machine and have no idea how people get to the point of...
Thanks for the reply’s
I’m going to wait till another closed loop vector drive machine comes up at auction,
I agree the older machines are great and are very capable still for the budget,
Yes they are old and will need money spending eventually but that’s an old machine for you
I have had my...
I have a year 2000 vf0e with brushless servos and the 15/20hp closed loop vector drive
I’m on the look out for another machine and have come across a 1996 vf2 that has the same brushless servos but the spindle is controlled by a Yaskawa vfd
What’s the pro’s or con’s to this set up as I have no...
Thanks for the reply guys,
I had a proper look today and YES it is possible, you have to assign a letter prefix to the tool and then add that tool prefix to the tool table
So for example I used tool 2,
In my tool table I only had tool 2 described as a drill, But I didn’t realise you can add...
Hi
I have a Hyundai QT15n with Mazatrol T32-B
There has been a few times recently when I’ve drilled a hole using a big 35mm u drill then had to bore it out to 100mm and it would be great if I could bore it out with the U drill to save taking up another holder with a boring bar
On these older...
Hi
Thanks for the reply, that’s good to know it is a worthwhile option in your Experian e and makes a night and day difference
Can you confirm what your software version and mocon version is?
For example mine is
VER M10.35
MOCON 11.00
Thanks
Marc
Hi
My version is M10.31N not 10.15
I am also as dubious as you regarding if the haas uk person that replied to my question actually knows for sure if I do or don’t need a board update and firmware as you say,
I did enquire about paying a fee to try it out and re set the trial option hours but...
Hi
On my older year 2000 vf0e I’ve got a question regarding the quick code and tapping,
I’ve hardly ever used it but I’m sure I did use tapping a few times with no issues either that or I’m not remembering lol
So……… is it normal on the older quick code when you select a tapping cycle that it...
Hi
I also have a Hyundai QT15n with a T32B control without g code/iso option.
For parting off you just use the grooving cycles,
I always use number 4 if I remember right that puts a back chamfer on the part before parting off,
As mentioned if you need a
Manual line of 2 you can write 1 with...
So after sorting all the little issues on my Hyundai QT15n with a lot of help and ideas from you guys on here this is the last issue I have the intermittent and only happens occasionally but I’d really like to get to the bottom of it
I’m thinking directional hydraulic valve solenoids maybe...
