    Update a couple years later... I got my Millrite going with a TECO FM 50. Amazing little piece of technology; smaller than a Machinery's Handbook, converts 110v to 220 3 phase. Variable speed, and other features as well. Definitely worth the $180. Excellent customer support from Factorymation...

I don't remember where it was shipped from, but it is very humid down here where I live, wonder if it will make a difference...

    I called the VFD supplier posted above. They said I could run a 3/4 H.P. motor on the 1 H.P. VFD as long as my motor has less than a 4.2 amp load rating, and to wire it with 14ga. wire. Does this sound right? I don't know what the amp/laod rating is, does that sound like what a common 3/4 H.P...

    Good advise. I will get one of these if need be: FM50-201-OC http://www.factorymation.com/s.nl/it.A/id.197/.f?sc=2&category=32 It's rated for 1 H.P. but they said I could run a 3/4 H.P. on it as well.

    Building a new fab/weld table, part 2...

    I wonder how it would be if you made the top from heavy-wall rectangle tubing? Would make for easier clamping. Also have a ready surface on the bottom for bolting, no need to weld in short 3½" pieces. I realize it would not be as strong as C Channel.

    Thanks John. There is a hole in the quill right at the top of the arbor. Would it be alright to pry the arbor out at this spot, if I need to remove it?
