I agree, there are 100 ways to skin this cat. Ive made hundreds with no issue in the same lathe. Im need hard data to present to the customer to say this is not a great idea for this part..in short fit tolerances. 3 clicks on the mics and its good, industry standard. there has to be something...- tay2daizzo8

i like the idea of the tapered pin, but i dont have the room at the bottom of the bore for this. there is a smaller thru hole. air gauge would be nice, maybe ill add it in to the cost and see if they change their mind- tay2daizzo8

I completely understand your point...BUT I will not be ready to buy in 3-5 months. 5 years is probably at the max...im getting the feeling 2-3 based on some of the conversations we have had...in this time i need to clean up some of my own finance stuff and learn more about the financial side...- tay2daizzo8

Form grinding a straight flute carbide drill.
a 3/8 endmill with a R.06 would have worked very well, 2/3/4 flutes it doesnt matter, grind off what you dont need and use like a bbar- tay2daizzo8

its good that I have my ear to the ground so to speak with the guys in the shop and how things are going.
