where to download webmachinist app on computer???
that is unfortunate. is there another app that can tell me SFM for individual tool steels and stainless? or am I stuck on making a excel sheet and probing the machinery handbook for the speeds and feeds? I only ever used it for speeds and feeds for turning, drilling and the right tringle calc. -

Lathe x zero off center? How to fix?
I have a hawk 150 (acromatic 2100)with milicron. The lathe had a crash and I realigned the turret so that the z and x are aligned. The issue is when I indicated the tool holder hole to zero from the chuck I am .0045 inches high. How do I shift the x zero. To get by I just change the x fixed...- fettersp

I could be wrong. The tank says 6.5 hp on it but the motor ratings are the single phase 220 15 amps.- fettersp

I had the unfortunate experience of my old air compressor destroying itself. It left me with the tank and motor. The motor is 6 hp. 15 amp 220v and spins at 3330 rpm. Any ideas on what I could make with it?- fettersp

the slot is adjusted to the correct diameter of the bar. the bar will slide through smoothly when the slot is extended all the way. its that the slot isnt getting any pressure to push the bar up. without the bar the slot will go up and down. -

metric thread classification?
I normally work with unified threads. This order has a m20 x 2.5 od thread. I have a table that tells me all the info on how to make the thread but im confused on the tolerance classifications. there are 6g and 4g6g. Which one is the average one that is normally used when no tolerance is not... -

Can you use left hand thread inserts to make right hand threads or is that a nono? Also can i use left handed inserts in a tool holder that uses the right handed ones? -
