Chip tray fitment for lathe that never came with one?

I have the tabs that mount to the motor base and the pedestal "stub" that mounts under the tailstock end, all from a 13" If you wanted O.G. stuff. BUT, you'd need to source a shorter leg for the tailstock end (Mine was sold already) I LOVE the idea of a slide out pan, either with a toolbox/cart...

I have 13" Parts for sale (old version)

Gone daddy gone ! There was zero spindle in the machine. The P.O. removed the caps and lifted the entire assy out and made it go away. That nut isn't a hard thing to make, especially on a lathe. If you can't find one, or have it made locally.... I could make one for you but I'd need the old...

    Citizen Cincom F16 help needed

Ok, so who here can give me a crash course in initial setup on this thing ? I'm having one hell of a time with proper tool offset measurements even with the presetter (which is zero'd). I was told by the old owner "use U & W for the offsets" but those don't seem to do anything different than...

I have 13" Parts for sale (old version)

Hey all, trying to reduce the amount of stuff sitting around. I have a bunch of parts from an old 13" that I need to make go away. Catalog 186-B (5"' bed), Serial is 61491. I acquired it without the spindle as "scrap" but knew it would provide many needed items for those trying to keep...

Looking for a 1952 13" crossfeed screw dimensional drawing

SuperG,... Here's what I did to my 14-1/2" when I had a clapped out taper screw and nut, couldn't find a new screw. (11/16 x 8TPI) and... my lathe was missing all the taper parts. I kept the taper front half of the screw assy like what you have, found some precision 5/8 x 8 ACME rod, milled a...

    1991 vf 1 gearbox rebuild

Ok, gunna pull this one back out. Eksinger, did you keep a parts list of all the items ? My transmission (1-'91 VF-1) and tho still full of oil, it has rubber "cushions" surrounding the 6 mounting bolts which prevents me from tensioning the belt in the manner found in the '93 and newer...

Taking a poll of those interested in a 10EE Follow Rest casting.

Cast my vote for the 2 piece version with room for a DRO scale. I've been involved with casting parts (at least the machining of said cast parts) and am somewhat familiar with Cope, Drag and Cores based on the parts I finish and the patterns I've held for said parts. I also think, in my...

    Trav-a-dial bracket for 10EE ?

Considering all the modern adhesives. That's a great idea ! I have 2 B.P.s, 3 lathes, a Haas VF-1 and an old Cincom CNC "Swiss". I want to add DROs to all the old stuff but never cared for the drill/tap into older, sought after machines.

    Trav-a-dial bracket for 10EE ?

BSG, that 1st one is the one i was looking at/for. I think it's the BR-87 i saw online but without the actual # can't be for sure. I seems to recall the # is on the side of the top where it ists on the saddle. Maybe it's on the back side ? I thought on making one, but the desire to perforate...

    Trav-a-dial bracket for 10EE ?

I am looking for the trav-a-dial bracket for the square dial 10EE. SWI, was zero help with even a part number. Does anyone here have the part number on the casting so i can start my interwebs search ? I found a picture of one that looks really close ... BR-87. Not sure if that is the...

Taking a poll of those interested in a 10EE Follow Rest casting.

I would be in for just about any of them, but would prefer the standard 2 prong version like in Brandenburger's photo !! ['67 square dial here] I have given a LOT of thought on making my own with a weldment, but time has provided me little extra over the years. I DO need a follower tho.

    Citizen Cincom F16 help needed

"Hot gluing a fuse holder and wiring it into a blown Daito fuse is a standard piece of kit for a CNC tech" That's kinda what I did, but I used a mini ATC fuse holder. way smaller that a typical glass fuse holder. easier to test, easier to purchase.

"Don't invest too much $ into making a 35 yr old machine up to date." Not trying to make it "up to date" but I AM trying to keep it going for the longer term. The issue is this.... I can't afford the time, $$ or space for another machine so I will use this one until it is dead, which given...
