    Multiple Workpieces on Mits MV4800

That's all it takes eh? Weird that it posted without auto putting that in for me, looking at my other programs and that appears to be the difference between the programs. Thanks for the help lads, this makes it very evident that I need to do a little more research on what all the G-codes do...

    Multiple Workpieces on Mits MV4800

Hey all, We have a Mitsubishi MV4800 WEDM that I am trying to set multiple work pieces up on, one in the lower left corner and another in the lower right corner. This is my first time attempting multiple work pieces and after some research and brushing up on how G54-G59 works I thought I had...

Mitsubishi MV4800 Annealing Rollers won't close

The brass shim is almost brand new I just recently had to replace it because the old one was all bent up and was giving me different problems, after replacing that the wire was cutting well for the last two weeks until now. As for what happens when I go and try to cut the wire the two pieces...

Mitsubishi MV4800 Annealing Rollers won't close

I've just started having problems with the wire not cutting properly on our MV4800 WEDM, after checking some things I've narrowed it down to the annealing pinch rollers towards the top of the machine not closing fully. When I go to cut the wire it'll attempt to pinch the wire but it won't close...

    Taper Cutting Help

To be honest I am kinda curious how it's going to come out. I have only ever cut at a max of 22 degrees and that was bad enough. Update the thread and let us know how it went after you get it cut, I want to know! Good Luck, -AGMantz

At whits end with a employee

I suppose going about things different was too broad of a term. I 100% agree that a employee shouldn't be telling the boss how to run his shop. I personally think that the OP should can this employee. When I say going about things differently I mean that our generation solves problems and learns...

At whits end with a employee

Both parties need to put in work, the OP is obviously putting in work to try and help this guy because he could be valuable, but if the employee doesn't want to work then there is nothing to compromise, simple as that. Not sure what you don't understand.

At whits end with a employee

Why don't you read the end of that sentence one more time. I'm not quite sure you understand what I was trying to say I've done the same thing, I was put on Wire edm with minimalistic training and pretty much was told to figure it out... so I did and here I am now still working the same job...

At whits end with a employee

Kinda disheartening to see this kind of opinion as a 20 something myself, how do you expect the young to succeed when you give up on them before they even start? Now I know your comment was laced with sarcasm(or at least I hope it was) from start to finish but that opinion is all too common...

    Wire EDM of long parts

I usually do exactly as wdevine says I intentionally shrink my profile by a .001-.0005 to give myself some play, then crank up my VG by a few points. My rule of thumb is generally raising the VG by 2 to 3 volts for every .0001/side that is convexed. Then if its a repeat job I dial in the VG by...

Sodick A325 Mk25 problem with 2-3 skim cuts

Sounds like the problem might actually be your rough cut then. I am by no means an expert let alone have any experience with WEDMs outside of Mitsubishi, but if your wire is moving a little over 2x as fast one side compared to the other during the 1st skim could it be that your rough cut is...

    mitsubishi wire chopper breaker

When my wire chopper did this my issue was a bundle of wire caught up inside the chopper. I removed the chopper cleared out the bundle and then just in case I took apart the rollers that feed the wire into it and cleared out any stray pieces of wire, haven't had any problems since.

Wire won't Thread out of Pipe End

Forgot to update this thread when I figured out what happened. But there was a plastic cap that attaches to the end of one of the pipes that guides the wire to the back of the machine. The epoxy that was holding that plastic cap to the end of the tube wore off and that plastic cap made its way...

    Hole Popping with Copper Tubes

Hey all, I have a steel block that I need to do some hole popping and then wiring on. There are four ejector blades on this block with a width of .062 thou and run 1.5 in. deep, ideally I'd run a .040 thou(1mm) brass electrode for hole popping but that'd only leave me with a .011 thou a side...

Bottom of the Work Tank Durability

Just to clear up some things the dimensions I gave in the original post were in inches, the material is BeCu, and it was well over 13lbs. Thanks, -AGMantz

Bottom of the Work Tank Durability

Hey all, I was cutting a 6 x 8.25 x 4 Beryllium block out in our Mits WEDM, long story short the game plan I had to remove this block from the machine didn't go to plan and it fell hard to the bottom of the work tank, from visual inspection nothing seems damaged and I had moved the bottom head...

Anyone using the online Esprit training?

I took the ESPRIT online class about a year ago, mine was focused on Wire EDM the class was very informative and I had a pretty good idea what I was doing after I finished the class. I was in a small group with about 5 others any questions anyone had were always answered and if the teacher...
