    Thanks for the advice and I will try but what seems unusual to me is that the display shows lines of NC code at the top right before it shuts down and this display of characters is not normal for this controller.

    I have reseated the chips and I do not know about the code but I am outputting with a cam software so I would think that code would be formatted correctly.

    Well I should clarify. It is not shutting down but going into emergency stop. It is a Dialog 3 control.     Arno, The D3 does use line numbers but I guess the manual is not written as per accepting g-codes through the serial port. I have found and corrected the problem. Just be nice if Deckel would have formatted their manual commands correctly for both input methods.
