    Handmade Wooden Machinist Case?

Look what I found! I'm laughing because my wife, who usually wants me to get rid of stuff, thinks it's cute. I know I have the rest of the pulls and corner brackets somewhere. I'll keep looking and let you know when I find them. The outside dia. of the pull flange is 1-1/8". Is that a match?

Thanks Frank for the picture. It was so clear in my mind that I thought my CAD sketch would make it obvious but I didn't communicate the idea effectively. Is this better? Only five passes necessary.

    How would you mill this?

There is a straight line from one side of a tooth to the side of the tooth on other side through the center of the part. Center the part, use a cutter that's a little more than 1/2 the width of the opening between the teeth, offset the part by the cutter radius, set your depth, cut all the way...

    The flexbar supercrap edge finder

The thing that makes the biggest difference in the "jump" is the surface finish of the mating surfaces. If you carefully lap the faces to remove all grinding marks, the action is much better. I've had the best results by using a non-embedding compound like "timesaver". Timesaver Lapping Compound...
