I remembered! Sorry for the delay. Brain sometimes forgets to do stuff before I leave the shop.
Here is the shaft configuration and the broken handle. The little nub on the end broke off and you can see where it was previously welded back. I accidentally broke it off again by hand just by being...
I have forgotten both Monday and Tuesday while at the shop to take pictures 🤦♂️. I will try harder tomorrow. Once again give me a call, text or PM if you are really interested! Thanks
I used some swivel leveling feet from MC Master and some long grade 5 bolts from Fastenal. I think I had about $40-50 for the set of three. It high enough to move around with the pallet jack or forklift. Works great!
I am surprised it is still around as well. Hell of a lathe for 3500 like I said before. I rather put part of the money into the 1000ee though instead of keeping this one. And all my other projects haha
No knowledge of any issues except one of the handles is broken with a previous weld. Easy fix just haven't gotten to it. Just the straight metal handle not a cast one. Lathe was in use when the owner died. I am fairly certain the ball screw is just for the feeds. I will take the cover off and...
I never have gotten a DRO for my 10ee and it’s been a pain trying to mount an indicator to the bed. I decided to design and 3D print some high quality 10ee bed clamps with indicator holders.
These work super well. I designed them to be very durable and precise.
All the threads are metal...
I am quite surprised as well. Any less than $3500 and I’ll just keep it. Such and amazing machine. My guess is not hobby size and most people don’t know about Ikegai.
Yeah the only reason I bought this one was because it looked like it was very easy to convert. The only thing I have bought for it was a new ram. Haven't gotten around to ordering new end brackets but it looks like it'll bolt right up to the old ball screws and mounting holes.
I have a true trace off a 1969 Bridgeport.
Does anyone even use these anymore or am I better off just throwing most of the parts away? Maybe someone here needs something off it?
If I end up throwing it away I’d probably just keep the parts that attach to the hand wheels and the hydraulic...
I looked online and could not find it on my own. The link worked and I downloaded the manual. My email is [email protected] if you’d like to send more :). I’ll take any documents I can get for the machine!
I tried switch the motor wires and the tacho wires but that did not seem to fix it.
The blue wire #4 in the bottom left terminal blocks seems like it should be hooked to something but it is not. It was hooked to the 5 wire power cord that it was originally wired to but the blue wire did not go...
Alright I will give that a try. It would also seem that the transformer for the DC drive has been replaced with a 460v to 380v only transformer so I would probably need a new transformer for 220v.
Seems promising though if I can get this DC drive to work. Looks like it'll be pretty easy to get...
