    OT: Whitworth Rules!

I had an Elora (German I think) socket set from the late 70's that had Whitworth sockets. This was in the UK. Working with my Dad I was used to working with BA/UNF/UNC/Whitworth fasteners all the time. Even into the 70's Whitworth fasteners were readily available. Now they come from India.

Haas, jump the shark? Badge engineering

If the BP style mill was made in SoCal, with US castings, machined locally and assembled with foreign and domestic workers in SoCal You'd all still find something to cry about.

    Fadal 3016 on a 20 amp circuit?

It'll be fine, I have a 4020 with the 20/30hp motor (size of a small dustbin) and haven't seen any currents above 20A when using a clamp on meter. That's cutting 6061, but that included spinning up the motor, so I suspect you'll be ok.

A Fadal toolsetting system that doesn't suck!

Ask around, or talk to a local Fadal service guy to see if there's a local Fadal operator (who knows what he's doing) and p[ay him for 4-8 hours of his time. You'll be up to speed much quicker then trying to learn of off youtube. Plus if he's also a programmer he can help with programming...
