    Tube bending service needed

I'm not super concerned about total chassis weight but I plan on stepping down the upper frame rail from 1.5" to 1.375", then to 1.25" towards the front. I won't be able to do this if I go with a .065" wall tubing. Andrew

    Tube bending service needed

I've been told that the minimum wall thickness they will bend is .065". I don't want to go that thick for this chassis build. Andrew

    Tube bending service needed

Hi, I haven't had any luck locally (Portland, Oregon) finding someone that can bend a couple of pieces of 4130 round tubing. What I have is two pieces (1.5" x 0.058 and 1.25" x 0.058) that each needs two 90 degree bends with at least a 6" radius. Does anyone on here know of a place that can do...

    RFQ - TIG welding

Thanks for the replies. I decided to pass on the dragster frame but at least I have an idea on the cost to have it welded. Andrew

RFQ - Single milled aluminum piece

Hi, I've tried to make this twice on my father in-laws mill but it is in such bad shape I could do a better job with a hand file. I need someone to mill this part, which is a top piece to a supercharger intake manifold that I’m making and I’m trying to achieve the same look, with the cooling...

    RFQ - TIG welding

What would you expect the price on it be. Probably a day to day and a half of work. I guess I can call around locally. I've just had great success in the past on here with other work done for me. Andrew

    RFQ - TIG welding

I'm thinking about purchasing this tack welded dragster chassis and I'd like to get a quote on the cost of having someone fully weld it. The chassis is 4130 steel tubing and will be inspected in order to get it certified. I'm in Vancouver, WA and I'm looking for someone withing a few hundred...

Hi Frank, I may take you up on machining the valve guides I need. I've attached a few drawings of what I need turned. If this is something you would like to do can you provide me with a price for a quantity of 20 with material I will provide. Also, what is the possibility of turning one out of...

Need custom automotive valve lifters machined

Hi Dan, I have talked to my cam grinder as well as a Bonneville racer who is running with the setup I'm trying to obtain. Since the Ford Flathead engine does not have rocker arms, I run with very low spring pressure (80lbs closed, 180lbs open). If it was a rocker arm engine I would rethink...

Need custom automotive valve lifters machined

Since the camshaft will be also made from 8620, the base of the lifters will be micro polished and have a DCL coating on the base. No other hardening will be done to the lifters but I may nitride the cam.

Need custom automotive valve lifters machined

I'm looking for someone to manufacture a set of 16 (possibly a few more) automotive valve lifters from 8620 steel, which I have. I've attached a picture of the general lifter design but will supply the exact design. Lifter height will be 1.75" with a stem diameter of 0.60" and a base diameter of...
