    Fanuc 0T lathe - G76 threading troubleshooting

Get yourself a ZEUS book or equivalent. It is very handy for quick referencing. My program would look something like this... G76 P020060 Q150 R50 G76 X14.16 Z-13.0 P920 Q250 F1.5. As others have said, if you have a normal open form 60 degree tool then you might have to go deeper on your offsets...

how are large custom machine foundations removed?

A few years ago we threw a foundation for a Elga mill that has 5M travel. Dug up the existing factory floor and did the necessary re bar grid patterns and laid anchor plates for the mill before we threw the concrete. We did overkill it a bit but rather safe than sorry. It replaced two old...

    Identify Measuring?? Tool

Here is the reply that I got from Tom after I emailed them. I just replied and thanked him for his mail and told him that I don't really want to make anything out of it if someone needs it. I guess with me being in South Africa the shipping cost would be what I would ask. "That is a holder...

    Iscar DO-GRIP Inserts

Not that I know of. The grip inserts are pretty good for turning as well using the full radius 3030 insert in your case. I use them on my smaller kia lathe as a versatile grooving, parting, turning that never leaves the turret. The inserts are pricey. I think they also take the HFF inserts that...

    Looking for part-off tool recommendations

Another vote for the TAG from Iscar. Seats well and has not failed me much... except for operator errors on the 4 sided 35mm wide blade. I use the 3mm for most of my parting.

    Mitsubishi M64S Rigid tapping

Macro B Part Count to Adjust RPMs

So you pretty much just need variables. Here is where it could mess you around... Are you running the same program till the end (A M2 or M30 at the end) and then it cycles back to the top of the program and you run the same program again? If so you need to be careful on how your parameters are...

Multi Start Worm on a CNC Lathe

What others have said and I will add... Make sure that your clearance angle on your tool clears the helix. On that lead it might be worth it to draw it out and see if your tool will clear when cutting.

    Scrap after Insert Change

Ok wait, I just saw your tolerances. I agree with the other folks, either dial it in after every change or run a dedicated finisher. Maybe a thinner rougher and then the finisher.

    Scrap after Insert Change

I use GRIP style inserts often. The torque that the insert is held makes a big difference on height of the insert. Maybe that is an issue? Have a look in your Iscar catalogue, it does give guidelines for this.

Trouble getting this code to run all the way through on lathe

I have the same machine, with the same control. I am not sure that it came with the tapping function, yours might be different. I even modified the parameters, this is a while ago, so that I could fully retract with a drilling cycle. I have just for the fun of it tapped some plastic with the...

    Wich hybrid cnc lathe

Does it also use that Alpha drawing package "thingy"? I know a guy that rents from us has an older one with a basic Fanuc control that is a bit of a mission to get used to but is solid iron. I know that I might get stick for this, and I think that I have mentioned this before, but this TNC-460N...
