Do you mean axial spacers to adjust how far the pinion protrudes? that spacer would also need to extend under the mounting bolts, correct? I'm rehabbing 2 Clark forklifts, c500s100lpg, perkins 4-236 engines, propane. They both came to me with the starter motors out. Opened up both starters I have, the "better" one I was using has a high resistance short from commutator bars to the shaft and the other one is smoked inside, so I ordered a new one.- tomjelly

There is a different starter specified for the diesel version of this engine, but I don't want to take a chance of it not fitting. If I knew it would fit and was heavier duty I'd get it.- tomjelly

I can see the valves, my scope has a side camera which works very well. Looks OK. I took out the rest of the plugs, cleaned them and scoped the other cylinders, looks good. Got my solenoid today and put it in, left the plugs out and spun it over and smelled propane so its getting fuel, but...- tomjelly

Waiting on a starter solenoid, should be here today or tomorrow. I want to get the engines started before I do anything else. I've had this tin so long I don't even know if a tube was even available when I got it, but the next Hylomar I buy will be in a tube as it thickening in a tube would probably never be an issue. -

Indian head has its place, but I definitely prefer hylomar for certain applications. They are very different, and parts assembled with hylomar in my experience are much easier to take apart. -

Got to put it on ring PLUS vibrate. If thats not enough I wonder if there is a phone app that can trigger an external alarm of some sort based on its timer. Maybe generate a message to trigger a wifi capable relay to turn on a light. Shouldn't be too difficult to do edit- my reply was... -

Got the lifts home yesterday, a friend had a heavy duty rollback that worked well for one at a time. The right drive wheel on both machines were frozen so you were right about the brakes, but they slid right up the ramp without too much trouble, I think just the parking brakes are stuck...- tomjelly
