The gear in the picture has teeth on the side not shown that engage the chain drive sprocket that comes from the mandrel. The part I am holding slips into this. The 3 small holes in the end are threaded and line up with the 3 holes in the part in the right of the picture, that part is...- cdogg

I have a Brown & Sharpe 1 1/2 horizontal mill, I think it was built between 1903-1910. When I got it, the gear box on the column was partially disassembled and what wasn't was rusted tight. I have all the parts freed up, and it's going back together. The problem is that low gear won't engage...- cdogg

Issue between machine and rotary
We are running a VF2SS, next gen control, with an HRT210B rotary. 4 pieces equally spaced around a fixture. The machine, rotary, and program have been run before with out issue. I am getting a shift in "X" when the rotary goes from working in 0 to 90 degrees. All the tools working in that... -

the resin manufacturer has the best answers on it's product. Depending on the machine you may be able to mount a larger screw and barrel. Shot size is usually 80% of the barrel capacity at the top end. -

tech help is available from the manufacturer of the resin. They will give you guidelines for processing also. Is your mold a hot runner type? -

Thanks for the replies, I have never operated a wood moulder. My background is more metal. My experience with wood includes logging, portable sawill operation, drying,planing, and end use of the wood. I live less than a hour from the Hermance Co. shops. I love history, And this was going to scrap- cdogg

machine leveling
After reading a plate on a machine that said "Be sure to level the machine properly or the frame will be sprung" Actually it was worded different & longer, but said the same thing. If a machine has been stored, unlevel, Should it be leveled and left to sit for a period of time before operation? -
