Anyone have a Series 60/61 parts lathe?

I too may be looking for some Series 61 13 " parts. As I just bought another one at auction. Have yet to drag it home. The machine I parted out was a bigger lathe and those parts won't work on the little 13" lathe. So let me know anyone has series 61 13" parts. Mike

Anyone have a Series 60/61 parts lathe?

I responded to your other post with the same question. But yes I have some parts. Whether they are the right ones or not depends on what size lathe you have. Just let me know. Mike

    Need some Model 60/61 parts.

I parted out a series 61 a while back and still have some parts laying around. I may have some of the parts you are looking for. It depends on what exact size your lathe is. The parts I have are off a 16" catalog size lathe with I believe a 21 or 22" swing. Mike

Need Hub and back plate for 13" series 60/61

I am in need of what I think is call the hub and back plate for the clutch assembly on a 13" series 60/61 lathe. If it helps I have 16" series 60/61 parts to trade but will certainly pay cash also. Mike

Series 61, Removing a Shift Fork from Headstock

I was able to get a number of the parts together. I have the two bevel gears w/shafts, the worm wheel, worm gear and assembly. There is good news and bad news. The good is that I was able to find most of these parts and the gears appear to be in ok shape. The bad is the drive dog in the worm...

Series 61, Removing a Shift Fork from Headstock

I'm back home. I have been reading some of your posts. Did you get some of the parts you need? Anyway, I can now start to dig in to my parts lathe and get you as much of the parts you need as I can. Can you please restate what you need by priority. Mike

Series 61, Removing a Shift Fork from Headstock

Well, that is pretty long list. But that's ok. I am headed out this morning on the long drive to Arnfest. So, I may be out of touch on this board for a week or so. I will have my phone with me and on all the time though. I would like to think that I could fill your complete order but we...

Yes, apron and gear box parts also. Once I get back from Arnfest and as the weather changes I will start scrapping this stuff. Mike

Series 61, Removing a Shift Fork from Headstock

Yeah, I still have most all the internals for the headstock. At some point soon if someone doesn't want this stuff it will go to the scrapper. Mike

    13 by 54 Series 61 Toolroom Lathe

I called Monarch this morning and talked to Scott. He is the go to guy there for tech info on these older lathes. Anyway, Scott confirmed what I had been told by others: On a series 61 if your lathe has rapid traverse the rapid traverse rod always turns while the motor is running. Whether the...

    13 by 54 Series 61 Toolroom Lathe

Five is the correct number on a series 61 toolroom lathe with lead screw reverse and rapid traverse. They are: lead screw reverse, lead screw, feed rod, clutch rod, and the rapid traverse rod. The rapid traverse rod is the bottom most closest to the bed. Mike

That would be extremely odd. Can you post a couple good pictures of the front of the lathe. Count the number of longitudinal rods on the front of the lathe including the square clutch engagement rod and lead screw. Tell me how many you see. But posting a good picture or two would be worth...
