Can anyone tell me the minor diameter of a female 1/8-27 npt thread at the large end of the taper where the flat on the gage is. I have to bore and single point thread a bunch of parts so I would like to know the diameter to taper bore them to at the large end. I found all the other parameters...
I have been watching videos of the drought out west. Is the problem as bad as it looks. How has this affected
manufacturing or your life out west. This looks like it will have a major impact on the U.S. economy. Why is this not getting more attention in the news?
Like the title says, I just bought a toaster assembled in England after an exhausting search trying to find an American made toaster. It is very sad you cannot buy many things "Made in America" anymore. The best option was a toaster assembled in England. It was expensive but I am sure it will...
I have had very good luck with trim microsol 585 XT coolant. I run air bublers and Keller skimmers. Never had any bacterial problems. My wire machines are another story. The clean tanks look crystal clear but if you stick your hand in them they feel very slimy. My question is has anyone tried...
My 2000 Agie classic 2S was delivered to my shop. The only problem is that the two CD's were not. One CD is just the manuals on CD. No problem, all the paper manuals are here. The other CD, I am told is the operating system. They are looking for them but the guy who packed everything is on...

Here are a few pictures of a 10 X 30 Grand Rapids surface grinder I bought 3 years ago. The ways were very good however I broke it down to inspect the lube system and rebuild the hydraulic cylinders as they leaked. It sat apart for three years as I did not have the time to work on it. I just...
I have three resin tanks. When two are spent, I hook up the third tank and take the other two to be regenerated. I normally run my water conductivity at 15 microsiemens. My conductivity was running about 18 so I hooked up the third tank.As soon as i turned the machine on with the fresh tank the...

I have a job I am working on made of 7075 aluminum. There are a bunch of 6mm blind tapped holes and I am thinking of trying a forming tap. The last time I did this job I used spiral flute taps and broke a few which caused me fits. Suggestions?
I was having accuracy problems with a Mag Fadal 3016 FX I bought new a few years ago. I never really noticed a problem because just about all my work gets hardened and ground and jig ground or else it is just drilled and tapped holes. I called Touchstone Calibration to have the machine laser...

Hi, I purchased a very nice Grand Rapids surface grinder that is wired for 460 volts. I want to run it on 230 volts. It has three motors all 230/460 dual voltage. If I change the motors to 230 volts and the control transformer taps to 230 volts I should be good to go or am I missing something?
I just seen that Fadal is back. Looks like a company called Fives resurrected the Fadal brand. Good news for me as I had just bought a new FX3016 just before they went out of buisness. It has been a good solid machine.
