We just got some new prints in where the guy who drew them was having a blast with GD&T callouts......with no tolerances. I went out and bought a prize wheel and labeled it "Wheel of Tolerance". There are 4 spaces with +/- 1/4". We're really having too much fun with this thing. -

Scrap
We do what Bobw does, just leave the scrap parts in red with the lot. When I finish the final on the accepted parts, I go through the scrap to see what the problem(s) were. Matching small diameter piston and cylinder to ~.0001"
We have the PG-800 model here, and it goes down to .370. With the extra arm attachments, you can get as high as 3.000 diameter. Might not be a bad investment if you would be able to use all that range.
