I'm thinking of purchasing a small 9" x 24" lathe for retrofitting to CNC. I need the crossfeed and the headstock to be CNC controlled. Any advice would be appreciated.

My friend has a large flat belt Pratt and Whittney lathe that hIe wishes to sell. I believe it is a 16 x 36. It has a 3 jaw chuck, face plate and a steady rest. I think it may have a taper attachment too
