After reading these posts about the Tree machines I was intrigued, I’ve owned 4 Tree machines over the years all with Dynapath controls, and they were all reliable accurate machines.
I was wondering if using a solid state drive might increase reliability in the 2100 control. Seeing as a new...
You can call out the programs as long as they are on your hard drive. They are the same programs you use when you are in manual/codeless, I even copied the shortcut key programs from one of my older machines and have used them as well.
Perhaps you can get some of the parts you need, I believe I could easily make the parts for holding wire spools but the computer stuff that you find easy is completely baffling to me. I have an older Sodick A-325 and it’s next to impossible to find a 3.5” floppy drive that will work, I believe...
Material is probably too thin for the cutting condition that was chosen by the previous user or yourself. You can change that information or you can put in a thicker piece of material, you should be able to see the thickness range and type of material in your program header.
I have a used Sodick A-325
I need a 3.5" Floppy Disk Drive that is either new or in good working order, the machine currently doesn't have one. I also want to know if there is a battery backup that saves the parameters or are they saved to e-prom ? Machine is asking for disk 3 to be loaded, it...
Did you try manually cutting the wire ? if that works you intimidatingly remove a lot of the possibilities. If it doesn't cut manually, they use a little pneumatic guillotine cutter, it could be dirty/stuck, the air pressure on the separate air regulator could be set too low. if you open the...
I assume your shop is at a nice constant temperature, Mine is only about 3/4 insulated and I don’t have a heating system. I do have air conditioning for the summer months but until I finish the insulation I’m not going to install a heating system, the changes in temperature cause condensation to...
I’m your Huckleberry, I’ve owned several of those Tree mills over the years. They are Czech Iron with an American Dynapath control , Good machines for what they do. As far as the spindle, climb up and you will see two levers that allow the belts from the motor to the spindle to be adjusted. If...
No if it’s not using an Ericsson Quick Change setup, I probably has what is basically a butterfly wrench up top that drops down to put the socket onto the drawbar. If it has buttons to put the tool in or out make sure the pressure is high enough after the regulator.
You can write programs using the conversational programming that the Dynapath has. You can program offline if you have Cad software and send the G Code programs to the control via the RS232 connection on the cabinet.
I have a mist sprayer that uses vegetable oil and alcohol if you’re creating enough heat it smells like a stir fry. It’s biodegradable and mostly air, the liquid is metered so sparingly that there is very little residue on the parts. I bought it years ago when I had a knee mill. The thing did...
The coolant itself is awesome, it's got a very mild smell after the first day or two, it always looks clean as the solids fall out of solution, I use it on my surface grinder and I love it, but I always squeegee the table when I'm done so never any signs of rust.
the machining center gets rusty...
I'm experiencing some rust issues because my shop in not at a constant temperature.
I currently use Synergy 735 which I pretty much love except it doesn't do a good job retarding rust where it is puddled, such as around a vise base or below the vise on the table.
Thanks, Don
I believe because machine shops generally have a relatively limited number of customers they do work for. Unlike an electrician a plumber a Carpenter or a roofer for instance, each of who can afford to treat their customers like they’re not important because they deal with the public and they...
