Long programs will still need to run off the HDD, but re-posting from my software to the HDD is really easy with it networked (I post directly to the HDD on the machine), so that's how i'll run it for large programs.
The RJ45 (ethernet) port was wired to the side of the pendant where the rs232...
All good. I worked it out.
For future reference for anyone, here's what was required:
-Power up machine
-Wait for the "sinumerik 810d" splash screen with the version in the bottom right
-Press "3" on the numpad
-you will be prompted for a password, and there's an option to start windows...
Hey everyone,
I just got myself a Litz MV1400 with a Siemens 810D and i'm trying to work out the most efficient way to get programs from my CAM system onto it.
It has an ethernet cable, so I assume it has ethernet, which would be super handy, but i can't for the life of me find the settings...
Hey mate. I ended up getting one, but it's a bit all over the shop and not a great scan. If you have one that's in good condition and nicely readable that would be super handy.
Cheers,
Trav
Hey guys,
So i just got my second hand Stinger 2 that i bought, and it looks like it's in great condition, but didn't come with a disk or anything, so when i go to connect it to winRDS it just beeps a few times and then asks for the location of the armspec file.
I've gotten in touch with the...
Hey guys,
I've bought a CIMCORE Stinger ii, and I plan on using it mostly for reverse engineering of parts.
I use Fusion 360 as my CAD/CAM package, and Autodesk has PowerSHAPE that they suggest would be the best solution for me.
Just wondering what's out there that people would suggest...
Hey guys,
I just took delivery of 2 late 90's T-plus Integrex 35y's.
First, some pictures.
I don't have a maintenance manual for them (I have the rest), so was wondering what's the best way to level them? just on the box ways at the back?
Cheers,
Trav
All sorted. Indicates within .05mm at a few different spots along the z travel of both spindles, and the spindle loads on bar transfer is back down near nothing. (apart from normal accel. loads) and no marks on the job.
It appears it was more of a height between each head problem than a twist...
MP630 is a Multiplex 630 - basically the same as a Dual turn (in fact i'm not sure what the actual differences are between the 2)
I'll chuck up an indicator in head 2 now and check against a turned part in hd1. I didn't even think of that.
Cheers,
Trav
Hey guys,
I've just moved my MP630 and levelled it as best I could, now when I'm doing a transfer it's marking the part and spindle load is going high, I assume due to some misalignment between the spindles... how can I test/align it? (It was fine before moving, so I assume it's twist that's...
I can do that for you mate. This will be the first time I've used my EPROM reader. I assume it's a straight forward process?

It's not the type of thing that you would expect a bunch of views on in a short time, but people will keep watching them for ages

In my opinion mazatrol isn't half as good on the mill as it is on the lathe. I used mazatrol on my mill for a while, but found it much easier to just use CAD/CAM

yeah that makes more sense - Maybe a technique similar to this could help you?

Turn something with the 13deg angle at the face - then use that to touch off. Though it would really depend how it's actually been programmed (i don't know about the later controllers, but on the earlier...
