This! They don’t know how to wear pants or hats, you going to trust them running a machine? They’d probably try and sweep the floor with the broom upside down if Instagram told them it was cool( can things still be cool these days?)

This…. If you need a lathe, what are you going to get for $4-5k that’s better? Just suck up the transport or shipping

Some of you guys crack me up.
The biggest bitch on this forum is machinists don’t make enough money, it’s too hard to jam out enough parts to be competitive with huge China automated shops….. that kind of thing.
what’s this really mean? Time is really valuable in a small shop.
Yup you buy...
Whacheon makes very nice lathes , surprised this is still around . It’s worth what you are asking, but might have to go sub $4k to attract a home guy

A PMr from Mass was the first to send a message, I guess I should have said reply here too so that it was obvious to everyone-
I’ll post up here the status if it’s available - like the original post, part of being free means being gone soon :)

I bought this from a fellow PMer a while back. He said it was good, but I never attempted to verify it .
Just bought a calibrated pink granite plate and I need this gone ASAP.
I can load in a truck.
Zero interest in putting it on a pallet and shipping
Thx
Keith
PM if you can use it

Never mind the awesome machine, I’d be happy to have the stock in the foreground! What’s a chuck of 12x18x24” anything worth these days!

Like others have said who knows what size mic we are looking at
Gotta be a...
Haven’t tried them, but heard good things about CT Anodizing and Finishing in Bridgeport.
It like everything , hard to filter the feedback, often love/hate, not much in the middle
Connecticut Anodizing & Finishing -HOME
They claim there colors are consistent and they the minimum size order...
I have no room or use for that, but it’s freaking cool! Nice work dragging it back from the past :)
Hope it finds a good home

These Extech leads are decent.
The insulation is not as thick as the Fluke leads, but it’s rated for 1000v and 10a (by someone :) )
I think I got them of Amazon

I’m betting the dudes trolling, nobody starts a thread asking for advice, gets 160 replies (the majority telling him to keep the house and current job) and then starts another thread saying he’s ignoring all the advice and asking if he’s stupid
I’m going with yes to the OPs question
