Turns out it was a matter of adjusting some overtravel zones around the tool-spindle by changing the following data table values:
D1969, D1972, D1976, D1980, D1984, D1988, and D1992.
I wouldn't recommend changing D1968 since it specifies a zone in X in which the tool spindle can utilize its...
Last place I worked our UMC500 shipped without a thermal sensor at all and even after we figured this out and service installed it the factor it uses to calculate spindle growth was way off and my part dimensions were all over the place lol
Mastercam mill-turn is quite a bit different than even Mastercam multiaxis. You do little to nothing in the way of plane creation. Mastercam handles it all for you.
I think they're buried under way covers. The Z1 axis alarms out at the same place relative to the A position regardless of where A is so I think it might be a parameter. Seems like there's two Z1+ overtravel positions, one when X1 is low that's supposed to prevent the spindle from hitting the...
Hi everyone,
We have a 2013 Mori Seiki NT4300DCG 1500SZ and the part I'm trying to prove out is clamped by both the main and sub spindles during machining. When I try to run a toolpath from end to end down the length of the part, the machine alarms out as it approaches the sub spindle, giving me...
Hey everyone,
I'm new to programming Mori mill turns and mill turns in general. I've managed to get by programming a pretty basic Doosan but we just got a Mori Seiki NT4300 DCG/1500SZ built in November 2012 with the Fanuc F31iA5 control supposedly with most of the options except live tooling so...
