Jon sent the gears I bought quickly and also refunded my money for the set he couldn't find.
Thanks Jon.
P.s. I still owe you some pictures.
Gatz,
I'd love to see a picture of the mobile frame you have on it. I hadn't thought about swinging the cover to get at the belts.
If you have the manual in electrons, please send it to me @ [email protected]
thanks!
Rick
All,
Thanks for the comments, I didn't get a chance to play with my bandsaw this weekend. Most of my free time went to checking out/sorting the tooling I got with the lathe.
I got about 3/4 of it sorted out. Next week I probably be posting some "what is this" post.
Rick
Greg, Bertus,
I don't see any rivets on my bed.
I looked again for the Model number, still can't find one. There is a serial number, but I can't find the paper I wrote it on -- something like 14392.
My colletts measure:
3.193" (81.1mm) long
1.181" (29.99mm) Nose OD
0.944" (23.98mm)...
Greg,
I'll need to check out the collets, they ae not 5C. The thread on the collets are larger than 5C threads. I'll take some measurements later today, maybe some one can help confirm they are B24. I haven't pulled the adapter out yet, to determin the spindle nose taper.
I got three...
peter,
I think your correct, I think mine is an older model, pre DR1.
It does not have a model number on it. I don't see any remenants of an original belt cover ( i.e. no bolt holes, or broken/ground off cast in hindges).
thanks,
RIck
Bertus,
I have the manual for the DR1, which shows where the Model number is suppose to be, There isn't one there. The picture in the manual shows an angled area on the casting for the model number, I don't even have the agled area - it is a square corner.
Mine is the long bed, I measure...
I posted these in other areas of the forum, but I thought I'd give you all a pointer to them in case your interested.

PeteM,
Thanks, I bought it as an unkown. But the tooing that came with it is worth the $2000.00 I spent. After researching a little I'm sure l'll be very happy with it.
Hope to move it into position, level it and test it out this weekend!
